Cozen O’Connor has announced the addition of Massachusetts Bar Association member Wendy K. Venoit as a shareholder in the Construction Law Group.
Venoit brings a distinguished history of litigation and arbitration of infrastructure, power, renewable energy, oil and gas, and vertical construction projects throughout the United States and internationally. She also serves as project counsel to the design-build contractor constructing the Green Line Extension Project, a $2.28 billion expansion to extend the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Green Line Subway northwest into Somerville and Medford, two inner suburbs of Boston. Nationally well-respected as a trial and arbitration attorney, she joins the firm having handled dozens of construction disputes across the country and in international arbitrations, including “mega project” disputes involving claims in excess of $1 billion.

The management committee at Conn Kavanaugh has announced the election of MBA member
Erin K. Higgins as managing partner of the firm.
Higgins graduated cum laude from Georgetown University, and cum laude from Boston College Law School. She joined Conn Kavanaugh in 1991 as a litigation associate and became partner in January of 2001.
Higgins defends other lawyers in legal malpractice actions and represents lawyers in disciplinary matters. Attorneys rely on her for ethics advice and counsel. She is a seasoned trial attorney whose practice also encompasses the defense of other professionals, including insurance agents, accountants and financial professionals; and complex business litigation, including insurance coverage matters.
