Are you a high school student interested in the legal profession? Participate in the Judicial Youth Corps program (JYC).

JYC gives urban high school students an opportunity to experience the judicial system and learn about the law through educational sessions and hands-on, paid internships in the courts, from July through August each year.

The Supreme Judicial Court first established the JYC summer program in Boston in 1991. The Massachusetts Bar Association has partnered with the SJC since 2007 to expand the program to Worcester. The MBA also partners with Western New England University School of Law to bring the JYC program to Springfield.

For more information on how to join, contact the MBA’s Public & Community Services Department at JYC@MassBar.org.

For information on how to apply for the Boston JYC program, contact the Vanessa Scott at the Supreme Judicial Court Public Information Office at (617) 557-1114.

Funding is provided, in part, by a grant through the Massachusetts Bar Foundation.
