  • "New vaccination rules top ‘to-do’ list for employers," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Nov. 15). MBA members Hunter S. Keils and Catherine M. DiVita were quoted in an article about a new mandate from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration that businesses with more than 100 employees either require all workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or require those who are unvaccinated to wear face coverings and undergo weekly testing.

  • "ERISA insurer’s benefits denial was abuse of discretion," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Nov. 15). MBA member Jeffrey B. Renton commented on a federal court decision that an insurance company abused its discretion by denying an employee's claim for long-term disability benefits based only on his employer's statement that he was fired for deficient performance and not for his injury.

  • "Legal community not the same without Chris Kauders," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Nov. 15). MBA Dispute Resolution Section Council member Brian R. Jerome and MBA member Richard E. Quinby were among the authors of an article remembering former MBA member Christopher P. Kauders, a highly regarded mediator and arbitrator who passed away in July.
