MBA Past President Roy A. Hammer
It is with great sorrow that we share the news that
Massachusetts Bar Association Past President Roy A. Hammer
(1978-79) died earlier this week at the age of 81. He had been of
counsel to the Boston law firm Hemenway & Barnes LLP.
An MBA Gold Medal Winner (1985), Hammer was active with the MBA
for many years, as well as a past president of the Massachusetts
Bar Foundation (MBF), the MBA's philanthropic partner. In 2014, the
MBF presented Hammer with its President's Award at its 50th
Anniversary Gala, noting his leadership in committing the MBF
to be a core funder of the Flaschner Judicial Institute.
Service arrangements are being made under the direction of
Levine Chapels in Brookline.
