Don't miss a keynote by Harvard's Juliette Kayyem at the 2023 MBA Annual Gala

The Massachusetts Bar Association will hold its Annual Gala on Thursday, May 11, at the Westin Boston Seaport District, 425 Summer St., Boston. Juliette Kayyem, faculty chair of the Homeland Security and Security and Global Health projects at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, will deliver the keynote address.

In academia, the private sector, government and media, Kayyem is an international leader in crisis management and homeland security. Prior to joining Harvard, she served as President Barack Obama's assistant secretary at the Department of Homeland Security and as Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick's Homeland Security advisor. She is also the CEO of Grip Mobility, a technology security company in the mobility space.

A CNN national security analyst, Pulitzer Prize finalist, and contributor for The Atlantic and Boston's local NPR station, GBH, Kayyem also consults to governors, mayors and corporations on crisis management. Kayyem is the author or editor of six books, including her most recent The Devil Never Sleeps: Learning to Live in an Age of Disasters. Kayyem lives in Cambridge with her husband, Judge David Barron, and has three children.
