Nicholas Balatsos HeadshotMassachusetts Bar Association member Nicholas S. Balatsos has joined Boston labor and employment law firm Morgan, Brown & Joy as an associate. He will work closely with firm partners to assist Fortune 100 corporations, educational and health care institutions, public sector employers, and small businesses across New England with a wide range of labor and employment matters. 

Balatsos helps clients with many aspects of the employer-employee relationship, including negotiations, contract drafting, disciplinary issues, reasonable accommodations, handbooks and policies, and other agreements affecting daily operations. His labor experience includes collective bargaining, arbitration, disciplinary meetings, retirement, and unfair labor practice and discrimination charges.  

Prior to joining Morgan, Brown & Joy, Balatsos was a hearing officer for the Department of Labor Relations within the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, and prior to that worked at a Boston-based law firm specializing in labor and employment matters. He earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, cum laude. In addition, he received a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

*Awards should not include mentions in Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, AV ratings and other list-type awards due to the large number of attorneys who receive them.
