Joint MBA-Lawyers Weekly Program Looks at Fiduciary Duties and LLCs

On March 15, the Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly presented a joint educational program that looked at fiduciary duties and LLCs. The event was free for MBA members.

The panelists discussed the complicated state of attorney-client relations in the closely held business context. Specific topics of discussion included the rules related to attorney-client duties to non-clients; engagement letters, conflicts and insurance coverage limitations; best practices in drafting agreements; and IP rights. Following a brief audience Q&A with the panelists, the event concluded with a networking reception.
