  • "Inmates flooding courts with frivolous lawsuits," Boston Herald (September 9) -- MBA Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Operating Officer Martin W. Healy commented in a story on hundreds of pleadings filed by inmates in Massachusetts which can bog down judges and cause delays in the court system.
  • "At-will employees have few options when fired," Boston Globe (September 9) -- The MBA's Lawyer Referral Service was mentioned in the "Ask the Job Doc" column as an option for individuals dealing with the elimination of a job.
  • "Drug cases thrown out during Braintree police evidence audit," FOX 25 (September 14) -- MBA member Peter Elikann provided commentary on criminal cases that have been thrown out due to an investigation of the evidence room at the Braintree Police Department.
