On Nov. 6, the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts and the South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston co-sponsored a career panel held at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston to provide law students and practitioners with perspectives on different paths to different legal professions.
The Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts presented Frederick H. Dow with the AALAM Community Service Award at the Harry H. Dow Memorial Legal Assistance Fund Dinner on Dec. 1. Frederick H. Dow is the past president of the Harry H. Dow Memorial Legal Assistance Fund and served in that capacity for more than 10 years. As the president of the Dow Fund, he helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support legal services for indigent Asian immigrants and refugees.
The Massachusetts Chapter of the Federal Bar Association will hold its Annual Judicial Reception for the federal court on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Boston Seaport Hotel. At this year’s reception, the FBA will honor Judge Patti B. Saris for her service to the federal judiciary and to the federal bar.
The Berkshire County Bar Association will hold its Winter Ball on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Cranwell Resort Spa and Golf Club in Lenox.
