Limited Assistance Representation Training Program

     The MBA’s General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Section Council is sponsoring a series of Limited Assistance Representation training session which are free to all attorneys interested in learning more about LAR and how they and the public community can benefit from this experience.  Upon completion of this training session, attorneys will be certified to use Limited Assistance Representation in all Divisions of the Probate and Family Court. 

     This  training and certification will focus on: What is LAR?, Rules; Responsibilities and Limitations; Official Forms and Standing Orders; Intake Process including client  conversations, handouts, fee agreements, billing; Liability Issues; Documentation of Files; and Best Practices for LAR.

      The panelists include Hon Edward Ginsburg, Retired; Stephen M. McGonigle, Esq.; Robert A. Brown, Esq. of Brown & Barbosa, P.C.; and Ilene Mitchell, Esq. of the Probate and Family Court Administrative Office.
