Massachusetts is one
of the first states to launch a groundbreaking program for workers’ compensation
cases involving long-term opioid use which offers viable alternatives to fight
the opiod epidemic.
The MBA’s Worker’s Compensation Section invites you to attend is
a training session on February 8, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. The training will
include:

Discussion of opioid epidemic and its impact on the
DIA

Overview of the voluntary two-year pilot
program

Discussion of the types of cases suitable for the
program
•
The new DIA forms and their
implementation
•
Explanation of the “fast-track” court
proceeding
•
The role of care coordinators, insurers, attorneys, medical
providers, and injured workers
•
Question and Answer session
