You are invited to attend the October 27th Animal Law Practice Group meeting at the MBA.

Chris Green, the new director of the Animal Law Program at Harvard Law School will join us to discuss this exciting new program and his experiences working in animal protection <http://today.law.harvard.edu/bradley-l-goldberg-gift-will-support-animal-advocacy-program-at-harvard-law-school/>.

Chris Green graduated from Harvard Law School and the University of Illinois.  His publication "The Future of Veterinary Malpractice Liability in the Care of Companion Animals" in 2004 was the first to calculate the economics of veterinary malpractice insurance and consider damages beyond a companion animal's replacement cost or "fair market value".

Chris is a founding vice chair of the ABA's Animal Law Committee and has served on the Board of the National Center for Animal Law, acted as an advisor to the National Canine Research Council and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Law Association and Illinois Farm Bureau.

Chris has consulted for CBS News, Dateline NBC, Science Magazine, Smart Money Magazine, Chicago Tribune and Washington Post.
