The House of Representatives passed an alimony reform measure on
June 22 that seeks to ease confusion after the wide-sweeping
Alimony Reform Act of 2011 and related decisions by the Supreme
Judicial Court following its enactment.
House Bill No. 4427 is an amended version of
House Bill No. 4110, which was filed in late February. The bill now
awaits Senate consideration.
