The House and Senate tackled court veto overrides, among other matters, when they met in a rare Saturday session last week. As of press time, the House and Senate have voted to override $5.1 million of the $6.7 million that Governor Baker had vetoed from court accounts.

On July 23, the House passed an amended version of House Bill No. 4107, An Act Relative to Child Centered Family Law. The MBA's House of Delegates voted at its May meeting to oppose House Bill No. 4107 as drafted and to support its own amended version. We continue to advocate for the changes supported by the MBA.

The House and Senate are scheduled to meet this Saturday and Sunday to conclude formal sessions for the year.
