Members of the bar and judiciary from across the commonwealth
gathered at the Massachusetts Bar Association on Oct. 29 for the
Second Annual Reception of its Complex Commercial Litigation
Section. The Complex Commercial Litigation Section, or "ComCom" was
created in 2014 to provide practitioners focusing in the areas of
business litigation, bankruptcy, and intellectual property
litigation a forum to share thoughts and ideas and participate in
educational and networking events.
The reception included remarks from the Hon. Christine M. Roach
and the Hon. Janet Sanders. Judges Roach and Sanders, both of the
Superior Court's Business Litigation Session, provided an overview
of the BLS along with some helpful pointers and practice tips.
Attendees also had an opportunity to network with Hon. Robert
Cordy, Hon. Brian Davis, Hon. Kenneth Salinger, Hon. Scott Kafker,
Hon. Judith Fabricant and Hon. Christopher J. Panos at the
event. The evening was just the beginning of a year full of
planned events and CLE programs for the section, which will
culminate with its symposium on April 14, 2016.
