Major Criminal Justice Reform passes the House and Senate

Legislative ImageOn Wednesday, April 4, both the House and Senate passed a wide-sweeping criminal justice reform package with little opposition.

Provisions in the bill include:

  • A reduction in the waiting periods to seal certain records
  • Allowing a sealing of resisting arrest convictions
  • An increase in the felony larceny threshold
  • Reform of bail conditions and determination
