A panel of District Court clerks
will discuss practice tips and recommendations for success in prosecuting and
defending cases in the Massachusetts District Courts.
The seminar will provide valuable insights for new attorneys and seasoned
litigators, and attendees will be given an opportunity to pose questions to the
panel. The seminar will be followed by a networking reception. Seminar topics
include:
- The role of clerks and how they can help you
- The basics -- from notices of appearance to small
claims complaint forms
- Pro tips -- from discovery obligations, to effective use of motions in
limine, to how to get your
evidence admitted
- Commonly misunderstood or misused rules and case law
- Frequently made missteps by counsel
- Civil and criminal litigation tips
The event is open to all, but space is limited.
We strongly recommended attendees register in advance.
