What Every Practitioner Should Know About M.G.L. c. 254

Please join the Massachusetts Bar Association's Real Estate Section for an overview of mechanic’s liens in Massachusetts. Although they protect contractors, subcontractors and suppliers from the risk of nonpayment for the work they perform, mechanic’s liens must adhere to strict procedural requirements for establishing a lien under Massachusetts law.

In this program, panelists will discuss topics, including:

  • Procedures for recording, perfecting and dissolving a mechanic's lien;
  • Issues each contractor, subcontractor or supplier should consider before a mechanic's lien is pursued;
  • Best practices and tips for compliance

This webinar will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required by noon on Friday, Feb. 9, to participate in this program. An email from MassBar Education with the Webinar ID and Password will be sent before the program.
