Fitting the Forum to the Fuss

Join the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section as we virtually celebrate Conflict Resolution Day on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 4:30–6 p.m.

A panel of outstanding dispute resolution (DR) professionals will share their knowledge on various DR processes and then show how these roles can be utilized in an illustrative fact pattern. The DR panel will be moderated by Michael Zeytoonian and will discuss optimal ways that DR practitioners can help resolve disputes.

Panelists include:

  • Israela Brill-Cass on ombudspeson’s role
  • Paul Faxon on Collaborative lawyers’ roles
  • Dwight Golann on mediator’s role
  • Mark Irvings on arbitrator’s role

The panel will be preceded by a short presentation on Conflict Resolution Day by the DR Section Council and the reading of a proclamation by former Governor Charlie Baker.

In addition, Professor Dwight Golann will receive the 2023 Professor Frank E.A. Sander Award in Dispute Resolution, honoring the memory and legacy of Frank Sander, a luminary in the field of conflict resolution.

This webinar will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 to participate in this program. An email from MassBar Education with the Webinar ID and Password will be sent before the program.
