Severe storms are common in Massachusetts. Recent natural disasters, from hurricanes to tornados and blizzards, have increased the awareness and likelihood that state and local government clients will need legal advice.

What is the role of legal counsel with regard to these disasters and when will Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)  provide aid, in the form of reimbursement, for much of the storm-related infrastructure damage, debris removal and emergency response costs incurred? This program is intended to provide an overview of the law as to FEMA eligibility and the reimbursement process.
