Dial-A-Lawyer
On the first Wednesday of each month,
attorneys gather at the MBA's Boston headquarters from 5:30 to
7:30 p.m. to provide free, basic legal information by
telephone. Additionally, twice a year the program is offered
specifically to the general public in Western Mass.
Two special Dial-A-Lawyers for victims of the Boston
Marathon bombing will be held on Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May
30. Vitims can rexceive free legal advice by phone from 5:30 to
7:30 p.m. EST by calling (617) 338-0610 or nationwide toll free at
(877) 686-0711.
"There should be public funding for people who cannot afford to
hire an attorney. But because that support is not there, statewide
or nationally, the MBA's Dial-A-Lawyer program is a necessity."
