WBA accepting applications for Mary K. Ryan Women's Leadership Initiative
The Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts (WBA) has announced that its Women's Leadership Initiative will now be named the Mary K. Ryan Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) in honor of the former WBA president, board member and emeritus board member who passed away earlier this year.
The move reflects Ryan's career-spanning commitment to promoting women in the profession, as evidenced by her strong, continued connection to the WLI as a mentor, co-chair and senior chair. Ryan's longtime firm, Nutter, will also host the WLI's kickoff event going forward.
Launched in 2009, the WLI brings together senior women attorneys and up-and-coming members of the legal profession for leadership development and mentoring. The program is designed for women attorneys who have been in practice for six to 12 years and provides participants with opportunities to work with their role models and one another, build their networks and further their careers.
Applications for the WLI are now open and will be accepted through Wednesday, Nov. 27. Click here for more information and to apply or make a nomination.
