Massachusetts Bar Association member Albert B. Maggio Jr. of CRGO Law in Wellington, Florida, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association's Business Law Section.
In addition, Maggio has been appointed to the adjunct faculty at New England Law | Boston.
Maggio is a former chair of the MBA's Business Law Section and a former member of the The Florida Bar's Clients' Security Fund Standing Committee. His multi-jurisdictional practice focuses on assisting startup and emerging technology companies with their corporate, transactional, and intellectual property law initiatives.

MBA member James M. Pender, a partner at Morgan, Brown & Joy in Boston, presented at the Massachusetts Municipal Association annual Labor Relations Seminar on Oct. 27. Pender presented, “Uncharted Waters: Reasonable Accommodations in the Post-COVID Workplace,” and shared expert insights on post-COVID accommodations and compliance under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Pender provides labor and employment law advice and litigates matters on behalf of public- and private-sector employers. Much of his practice involves providing legal advice and guidance to clients regarding both union and non-union personnel to help employers navigate the often-complicated array of federal and state laws and regulations affecting employment.
