  • "Mass. criminal case backlog trimmed to 4,000, court leaders say," NBC10 Boston (Dec. 13). NBC10 Boston published a State House News Service article recapping the MBA-sponsored State of the Judiciary Address, which took place on Dec. 12.

  • "Healey taps state solicitor, former adviser to fill first open seat on Supreme Judicial Court," The Boston Globe (Dec. 9). MBA Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Operating Officer Martin W. Healy and MBA member Hon. Margot Botsford (ret.) discussed Gov. Maura Healey's nomination of State Solicitor Elizabeth N. Dewar to the Supreme Judicial Court.

  • "Renewed calls for western Mass. representation as Healey picks Boston resident 'Bessie' Dewar for SJC," New England Public Media (Dec. 8). MBA Chief Legal Counsel Martin W. Healy and MBA member James B. Winston, president of the Hampshire County Bar Association, spoke about Supreme Judicial Court nominee Elizabeth N. Dewar, who serves as state solicitor for Massachusetts.  

  • "A snowy night, a cracked taillight and a mystery: How a police officer’s death divided a Boston suburb," CNN (Dec. 10). MBA Executive Management Board member Peter Elikann was interviewed about the controversy surrounding the case of Canton woman Karen Read, who is accused by prosecutors of killing her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe. Elikann also discussed the case during a Dec. 6 appearance on Court TV Network’s “Closing Arguments with Vinnie Politan.”

Rudolph commented on a Superior Court judge's decision regarding the granting of summary judgment to a defendant construction company on claims brought under the False Claims Act

  • "‘Brownie’ Swartwood: a life worth celebrating," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Dec. 11). MBA Past President Thomas F. Maffei wrote an article celebrating the life and distinguished career of MBA Past President Hon. Charles B. Swartwood III, who recently passed away.
