Fifth Annual Juvenile and Child Welfare Conference to focus on fighting systemic inequality

The Massachusetts Bar Association's Juvenile & Child Welfare Section will hold its annual conference virtually on Tuesday, May 24, from 1-4 p.m. The conference theme is Fighting Systemic Inequality: Pushing the Needle Toward Racial Justice.

The keynote speaker is U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins.

The conference will feature:

  • A plenary session exploring: Why is race relevant to our cases and how to raise it
  • A delinquency track (Diversion as a Racial Justice Tool: Innovations in Diversion and Holistic Advocacy) breakout session
  • A child welfare track (Pre-Filing Representation as a Racial Justice Tool) breakout session

This conference is approved for 3 CAFL/YAD credits.
