  • "Child car seat class action dismissed," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Feb. 7). MBA members Tory A. Weigand and J. Tucker Merrigan commented on a U.S. District Court judge's decision that purchasers of children's booster seats who alleged past economic harm alone lacked standing to proceed with a class action claiming that the manufacturer made false and misleading statements about the product's safety.

  • "Limitation of liability provision void for willful 93A violation," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Feb. 7). MBA members Patricia B. Gary and Kurt B. Fliegauf discussed a Supreme Judicial Court decision that a limitation of liability provision in a commercial lease did not shield the landlord from liability for a willful and knowing violation of G.L.c. 93A.

  • "Late judge’s impact on District Court ‘will be lasting,’" Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Feb. 7). District Court Chief Justice Paul C. Dawley and Waltham District Court First Justice Sarah W.
