Current judges from the Massachusetts Superior Court’s Business Litigation Session (BLS), in conjunction with members of the Massachusetts Bar Association's Complex Commercial Litigation Section Council, have put together a comprehensive guide to practicing before BLS judges called “BLS Bench Notes.”
The guide offers BLS litigators insights from all four sitting BLS judges on every aspect of bringing a case before the BLS, from acceptance of the case to pretrial discovery and motion practice to trial. It also provides a window into the current BLS judges’ courtroom preferences.
Thank you to the BLS judges who prepared this helpful practice guide: Hon. Hélène Kazanjian, Hon. Peter B. Krupp, Hon. Michael Ricciuti and Hon. Kenneth W. Salinger. Thanks also to the members of the MBA Complex Commercial Litigation Section Council BLS Practice Questionnaire Committee for their assistance: MBA Complex Commercial Litigation Section Chair Jessica Gray Kelly (Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP), Vice Chair Kenneth N. Thayer (Sugarman Rogers), Charlotte Drew (Cooley), Derek B. Domian (Goulston & Storrs) and Andrea C. Kramer (Kramer Law LLC).
