USDC publishes proposed addition
to Local Rule 81.1

The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts is publishing for comment the addition of subsection (d) to Local Rule 81.1 Removal. There is no redline version of the changes.

The update and the current rules may be viewed here.

Those wishing to comment on the proposed amendment to the Local Rules for the District of Massachusetts may do so in writing or by email. All comments must be received on or before May 20, 2022, and should be sent to rules@mad.uscourts.gov or to:

Associate attorney at Sciacca Law Group  

Sciacca Law Group in Milton is seeking an associate attorney to handle the following responsibilities:

  • Represent hospitals, nursing homes and individuals in a high volume of guardianship, conservatorship, estate and mental health cases;
  • Advise clients on the Uniform Probate Code and compliance with the Department of Public Health;
  • Attend hearings in the probate and family courts four to five days per week;
  • Manage live petitions and annual Rogers reviews;
  • Prepare petitions, motions, legal memoranda and other necessary pleadings for filing;
  • Prepare and handle motions hearings and trials for contested guardianships and conservatorships;
  • Review health care proxy, living will and durable power of attorney forms.
