It is with heavy hearts that the Massachusetts Bar Association shares the news that Janice Maciejewicz of Plymouth, the long-time MBA receptionist, died on Saturday, April 2, at the age of 67. Working out of the MBA’s Boston office, Janice served as the MBA’s main receptionist from February 1999 until stepping back recently to focus on her health.
Martin W. Healy, the MBA’s chief legal counsel and chief operating officer, said: “For more than 20 years, to MBA members, Janice was the friendly, welcoming face and voice of the MBA, whenever anyone came to West Street or called-in with a question. Whether working with her colleagues and friends on staff or helping an MBA member or member of the public, she made the MBA feel like family. I will always personally be grateful for her support and professionalism over the years. On behalf of everyone at the MBA, I send our sincere condolences to her husband, Michael, and her many family members and friends. Janice will truly be missed.”
