As the summer ends, children return to school in person and vaccination rates in Massachusetts continue to outpace most of the rest of the nation, many companies and organizations are seeking to return to the office or physical workplace in one form or another. Given the still-potent COVID-19 pandemic, however, many employers and employees have questions and concerns about returning to physical workplaces.
The purpose of our panel is to review current guidance from Gov. Charlie Baker’s administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Occupational Safety and Health Administration relating to vaccination mandates, masks and safety protocols to discuss:
- What employers and employees can do
- What employers and employees can’t do
- Best practices for returning to the office
Our panel will examine these issues from the perspectives of both management and employees, as well as how returning to work during the COVID-19 pandemic is shaped by both employment law and labor law.
