To ensure that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit reaches a larger pool of qualified applicants, the court will accept additional applications through Jan. 24, 2022, for the position of federal public defender for the Districts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Simultaneously, the Merit Screening Committee will evaluate the applications for this position that have been received to date.
