Please join the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association (MBLA), Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys (MAHA) and Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA), along with other event cosponsors, for an exciting new event to recommit and focus collective efforts toward social change and racial equality.
On Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 1 to 2 p.m., featured speakers will provide context to the historical fight for equality and a call to action. Speakers include:
- Janette A. Ekanem, MBWA president
- Rahsaan D. Hall, director, Racial Justice Program, ACLU Massachusetts
- Stesha A. Emmanuel, MBLA president, McCarter & English LLP
- Ruth L. Adeyinka, Law Office of Ruth L. Adeyinka-Deras, 2016 MAHA president
Participants will convene at the John Adams Courthouse (1 Pemberton Square) and walk to the Edward Brooke Courthouse (24 New Chardon St.), named after the first African American attorney general for Massachusetts and member of the U.S. Senate.
