The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts will present "The New Subchapter V Small Business Chapter 11: An Overview" on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., in Courtroom 3 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Worcester.
Subchapter V of Chapter 11, a new law that takes effect on Feb. 19, 2020, significantly changes the landscape for small business Chapter 11 debtors. Chief Judge Christopher J. Panos of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court; William K. Harrington, the U.S. trustee for Region I; and Richard King, Region I assistant U.S. trustee, will provide an overview of the new law and how it could affect your small-business clients.
This program is being presented at no charge by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Bar Association, Worcester County Bar Association and Hampden County Bar Association.
