The Massachusetts Bar Foundation (MBF) will hold its 2020 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Suffolk University Law School. Massachusetts Bar Association members interested in learning more about the foundation’s grant-making and charitable activities are welcome to attend.
The event will begin with a business meeting and close with a cocktail reception. This year’s Great Friend of Justice Award recipient will be Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, who will also deliver the keynote address.
Maura Healey is currently in her second term as Massachusetts attorney general, continuing a career spent fighting for justice and equal rights by serving as the “People’s Lawyer.” During her time in office, Healey has focused on confronting the opioid epidemic, reducing gun violence, enforcing civil rights, protecting consumers, addressing the climate crisis, and championing access to health care and reproductive freedom. The MBF is proud to honor Attorney General Healey for her fearless advocacy on behalf of all Massachusetts citizens.
