Amendment to U.S. Dist. Court, Mass. Local Rule 40.1 Assignment of Cases

The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts has amended Local Rule 40.1 to reflect the creation of two new civil nature of suits, 485 (NOS) code for Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and 880 (NOS) code Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016 (DTSA) cases approved by the Judicial Conference of the U.S. Courts. Changes to U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Massachusetts fee schedule

On Dec. 1, 2020, the recently approved inflationary fee adjustments to the miscellaneous fee schedules became effective. As a result, on Dec. 1, 2020, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts amended MLBR, Appendix 3, Filing Fees, to reflect the adjusted filing fees. Two associate positions in renewable energy

Rath, Young and Pignatelli PC, a mid-sized general practice law firm in Concord, New Hampshire, has the following two openings in its national energy practice:

  • Associate, with 1-2 years of experience in the renewable energy field
    The associate hired will become part of a team handling a broad range of transactional matters, including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and tax structuring. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and have transactional experience with a large national or regional law firm. 
  • Senior associate, with 4-6 years of experience with alternative energy projects 
    The associate hired will become part of a team handling a broad range of transactional matters, including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and tax structuring. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and have significant transactional experience with a large national or regional law firm.
