Spofford honored with MBA Community Service Award

Massachusetts Bar Association President Christopher A. Kenney presented attorney Geoffrey Spofford with the MBA's Community Service Award at the Worcester County Bar Association's Annual Law Day Breakfast on May 1. The award recognizes a person who has "performed an act or acts of outstanding public service within his/her community."

Spofford was instrumental in expanding the MBA's Tiered Community Mentoring Program from Boston to Worcester and has served for nearly two decades as a judge for the MBA's Statewide High School Mock Trial Program. In addition, Spofford is an active Worcester County Bar Association volunteer. He has served as a member of the WCBA Executive Committee, a volunteer in its Lawyer/Teacher Partnership Program and co-chair of its Young Lawyers Section. He is also an active volunteer in Westborough and was involved for nine years on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass.
