2019 MBA Probate Law Section Survey:
Your Money, My Money, Their Money

The third MBA Probate Law Survey focused on how you handle money in your practice: your hourly rate, how much you pay associates and employees, and how you bill your estate planning clients.

We are pleased to report that 46 people have responded to the survey so far. Here are the top results:

  • The top reported hourly rate: $251 - $300
  • The top reported first year associate salary: $50,000 - $75,000
  • The top reported salary for the lowest paid employee (including non-lawyers): $25,000 - $50,000
  • The top reported salary of your highest paid employee (not you): $50,000 - $75,000
  • The top reported salary of the primary attorney each year (you): $75,000 - $100,000
  • The top reported method of billing estate planning clients: HOURLY
  • The top reported county you primarily practice in: MIDDLESEX
