  • “Farm employees entitled to overtime,” Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (March 25).
    MBA member Damien M. DiGiovanni was quoted about a Supreme Judicial Court ruling, which found the state’s agricultural exemption on overtime work does not apply to employees at a hydroponic farm whose sole duties were to prepare harvested beans for market.

  • “Wrongful-death plaintiff can’t pursue excess coverage,” Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (March 25). MBA members Michael F. Aylward and Vincent J. Pisegna were quoted about a U.S. District Court judge’s ruling, which found that a wrongful-death plaintiff who negotiated a $6 million insurance settlement could not bring a new action against the excess carrier after previously failing to recover $5 million.

Elikann was interviewed prior to the first scheduled court appearances for 12 of the 50 defendants facing federal charges in connection with a massive college admissions scandal.

  • “Ryan part of group addressing wrongful convictions,” The Lowell Sun (March 24). MBA Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Operating Officer Martin W. Healy was quoted in a story about the recent launch of a statewide Conviction Integrity Program Working Group co-chaired by the MBA. 

  • “Legal expert weighs in after Robert Kraft’s statement following solicitation charges,” Boston 25 News (March 23). MBA Executive Management Board Member Peter T. Elikann was interviewed about the legal implications of Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s decision to issue a statement of apology approximately one month after he was charged with soliciting prostitution.
