Plan to attend the Massachusetts Bar Association's Fourth Annual Complex Commercial Litigation Conference on April 23, at the MBA in Boston.

This year's keynote address will be given by Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Associate Justice David A. Lowy. Justice Lowy was appointed to the SJC by Gov. Charlie Baker in 2016. He was first appointed to the bench in 1997 as a District Court judge, then elevated to the Superior Court in 2001 by then-Gov. Argeo Paul Cellucci.

The conference will cover pressing issues in each of the three substantive litigation areas that complex commercial litigation encompasses: business, intellectual property and bankruptcy. Faculty presenters will include federal and state judges, and a number of accomplished attorneys who have provided significant thought leadership in these practice areas.

Conference highlights include:

  • Major developments and rule changes
  • Annual Judges' Panel discussing insights and suggestions on substantive and procedural dilemmas that attorneys face regularly, with the bench's view on the current state of commercial litigation and where things are heading

A networking reception will follow the judges’ panel. All attendees of the conference are encouraged to join us for refreshments and conversation with our distinguished faculty.
