FeeneyJune20BulletinJAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, has announced the addition of Hon. Joan N. Feeney (ret.), an MBA member, to its panel in Boston. She is joining JAMS following almost 27 years on the bench of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts and 23 years as a member of the United States Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the First Circuit.

Feeney will be based in the Boston Resolution Center, where she will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master and neutral evaluator in a wide variety of disputes, including accounting/finance, appellate, bankruptcy, business/commercial, trust and estate, family law, federal, professional liability and real property.

Feeney has handled hundreds of bench trials requiring oral and written decisions, as well as over 100 bankruptcy appeals in all aspects of bankruptcy law and procedure. In 2018, she received the Excellence in Education Award from the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and was awarded the Charles P. Normandin Lifetime Achievement Award by the Boston Bar Association.

JuarezJune21BulletinMBA Executive Management Board member Melissa A. Juárez has accepted a position as assistant clerk magistrate in the Suffolk County Superior Court Civil Clerk's office, which is led by Clerk Michael Joseph Donovan.

Prior to her appointment to this position, Juárez worked for the Department of Correction as counsel. She also worked as an assistant district attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney's office and as counsel for the City of Boston Employment Commission.
