At the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Top Women of Law reception on Oct. 18, Massachusetts Bar Association President Christopher A. Kenney presented the Leadership Scholarship to Disha Patel, a student at Northeastern University School of Law. A magna cum laude graduate of Boston University, Patel was previously an AmeriCorps member and has interned with both the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Hampden County District Attorney's Office. Patel volunteers at Northeastern's Legal Assistance to Victims Project, will be acting as a teaching assistant to two professors this academic year and serves as the South Asian Law Students Association’s vice-chair of communications.
The MBA has been the Leadership Scholarship Sponsor at Top Women of Law since the scholarship's inception in 2013.
