The Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA), the Massachusetts Bar Foundation (MBF) and the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys (MAHA) raised $57,000 to establish a Hamilton Hurricane Relief fund for Puerto Rican residents impacted by Hurricane Maria in 2017. The fall fundraiser allowed members of all three organizations to purchase and bid on orchestra tickets to an October showing of “Hamilton,” while supporting the provision of much-needed legal assistance for hurricane survivors.

These funds will now be distributed in the form of two $28,400 grants: one earmarked for hurricane victims in Massachusetts and the other for those who remain in Puerto Rico.

Thank you to all of the generous donors who supported our fundraiser and made these sizable grant awards possible.
