One year after the enactment of the Defend Trade Secret Act, panelists discuss the scope and impact of this new statute on commercial litigation; its practical applications in employment, non-disclosure and non-compete agreements; and strategies for protecting proprietary information.

Hot Topics Concerning Discovery Disputes and D&O Claims in Bankruptcy
Judge Panos will provide his perspective and approach toward efficiently resolving discovery disputes. He will discuss early judicial intervention into discovery disputes in the bankruptcy context one year after the revisions to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, with a focus on proportionality and dispute resolution. The panel will also look at some of the issues that arise between the bankruptcy estate and the bankrupt party's officers and directors, including D&O claims, insurance coverage, policy and payment issues, the automatic stay, and the resulting claims against the bankruptcy estate.
