"Debate grows over court recording system," Cape Cod Times (March 25) -- MBA Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Operating Officer Martin W. Healy was quoted in a piece about the Trial Court's implementation of For the Record, a digital recording system. Healy was also mentioned in a State House News story on the same topic that ran in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette (March 27).

MBA President Robert W. Harnais was interviewed by WBUR (March 30) in advance of his participation on a panel, which advocated for increased civil legal aid funding in a presentation made to legislators at the State House on Wednesday.

"Newton North wins Mock Trial state championship," Newton Tab (March 29) -- An MBA press release on the state finals of its mock trial program ran in the Newton Tab on Tuesday.

"You can bank on it,'" Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (March 28) -- MBA member Lonnie A. Powers, executive director of the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation, was quoted in the Hearsay column about the distribution of IOLTA funds resulting from a Bank of America Corp. fraud settlement. The Massachusetts Bar Foundation, the philanthropic partner of the Massachusetts Bar Association, is also mentioned in the column as one of three legal services organizations that will receive funding.
