Boston Latin School and Newton North High School have advanced
to the finals of the 31st annual statewide High School Mock Trial
Program presented by the Massachusetts Bar Association.
The two finalists advanced from a field of eight
quarterfinalists at a statewide regional competition held at the
Worcester County Courthouse on March 14. Boston Latin and Newton
North will compete for the state championship in the Great Hall of
historic Faneuil Hall in Boston on Tuesday, March 29, at 10 a.m.
The winning team will secure the state title and advance to the
national competition in Boise, Idaho, May 12-14.
Newton North has won nine state championships since 1988, with
its most recent one coming in 2004. Boston Latin last earned the
state title in 2006.
All teams and guests are invited to attend this special event.
