The Massachusetts Bar Association is proud to co-sponsor MassINC's Second Annual Massachusetts Criminal Justice Reform Coalition Summit on March 16, at UMass Boston, which will highlight the state's judicial branch.

The overarching policy focus this year will be state and federal sentencing practices and reforms. The program will include a keynote address from SJC Chief Justice Ralph D. Gants and closing remarks from Attorney General Maura Healey. Also included will be a presentation of new research from Bruce Western, Guggenheim Professor of Criminal Justice Policy at Harvard University, and two panel discussions: "High-Performing Sentencing Commissions" and "Justice for Special Populations."

This free program will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at UMass Boston Campus Center, 100 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston. The summit is presented by MassINC, the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Reform Coalition, Community Resources for Justice and the MBA.
