Harnais to receive Community Service Award from Norfolk County bar

The Bar Association of Norfolk County is honoring MBA President-elect Robert W. Harnais with the Massachusetts Bar Association's Community Service Award on Jan. 28 at the Neighborhood Club in Quincy. MBA President Marsha V. Kazarosian will present the award to Harnais.

Harnais has volunteered his service to the MBA for many years. A co-chair of the MBA's Crime Lab Task Force, Harnais has also served as the chair of the MBA's Diversity Task Force. In addition, Harnais has been a member of the MBA's governing body, the House of Delegates, since 2006 and is a member of the MBA's Executive Management Board. Harnais is also a past president of both the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys and the Hispanic National Bar Association, and remains highly involved with both organizations. Since 2007, he has served as a member of the Race and Ethnic Advisory Board for the Massachusetts courts. Harnais is chairman of the Braintree Planning Board and enjoys being a football official in his spare time.
