MBA Secretary Rush O’Mara testifies on raising juvenile age

MBA Secretary Martha Rush O’Mara is joined by Joshua Dohan, director of the Youth Advocacy Division at CPCS, to testify in favor of House Bill 1432, which would raise the age of criminal responsibility in Massachusetts from 17 to 18.

Last week, the Legislature's Joint Committee on the Judiciary kicked off hearings in the new legislative session by hearing testimony on a bill that would raise the age of juvenile jurisdiction from 17 to 18.

Massachusetts Bar Association Secretary Martha Rush O'Mara testified in support of the bill on behalf of the association and was joined by Joshua Dohan, director of the Youth Advocacy Division at Committee for Public Counsel Services.
