Write a New Ending to Your Season: Empire Spring Leagues (May 2024)
Free for Title I schools
We know how painful it is when the mock trial season comes to an end too soon. But what if it didn't have to...?!?

Debuting in 2023, the Empire Spring Leagues provided over 60 teams from 23 states and D.C. with an opportunity to write a new ending to their season. Using a brand new, topical case, students faced off in trials online that were challenging, but fun.

The Spring Leagues strives to provide (i) a high quality, cost-effective national mock trial opportunity for students, and (ii) a highly competitive tournament option for schools that just missed out on winning their state title. To that end, we host two leagues that run simultaneously:

  • Sapphire League - any team that has competed in a mock trial competition during the current academic year is welcome to compete
  • Premier League - a school must qualify to compete by placing in, at least, the top 10 of their state
    • This year's Premier League featured (4) state runner-ups and (8) teams that placed in the top 5

You can learn more about the Spring Leagues on our website. The dates for the 2024 Spring Leagues will be announced this fall.
