Please join Jenna Miara, the Executive Director of the IOLTA Committee with the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Board of Bar Overseers to learn about the rule changes and the process for reporting and transferring funds to the IOLTA Committee.

The Supreme Judicial Court enacted amendments to the IOLTA provisions of Massachusetts Rule of Professional Conduct 1.15 that became effective on September 1, 2024.  As a result of these changes, banks must notify the BBO of inactive IOLTA accounts, and lawyers must transfer unclaimed and unidentified funds to the IOLTA Committee within specified time periods, with notice to the BBO of transfers over $500.  Please join Jenna Miara, the Executive Director of the IOLTA Committee, to learn more about the rule changes and the process for reporting and transferring funds to the IOLTA Committee.

This program is free to the legal community.

This webinar will be hosted using Zoom.  Registration is required by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, to participate in this program.  An email from MassBar Education will be sent before the program.
